Kids Yoga & Emotional Wellbeing

Level 1

Keeping it simple .…. I teach basic yoga - incorporating breathing techniques to ease stress and anxiety. I teach kids how to emotionally self regulate using a yoga platform, which is very effective.

This means kids receive the BENEFITS OF YOGA which are, improving; coordination, balance, focus, core strength, spatial awareness, mood, relaxation, calms the nervous system, releases tension in the body, improves sleep, boosts the immune system, improves breathing, increases flexibility where needed and muscle strength, increases self esteem and peace of mind all while encouraging self care.

As well, kids learn EMOTIONAL AWARENESS - simple tools and techniques to deal with anxiety and stress, helping in;

  • better self regulation of emotions

  • better listening, attention and processing skills

  • increased self esteem and confidence

  • increased inner strength and resilience

  • increased self awareness

  • recognition of feelings

  • recognizing the need for respect for self and others

  • recognition of healthy /unhealthy relationships

  • developing healthy boundaries

This is a 3 level program - each level builds on the former, incorporating by the completion, all of the above.

Each class is tailored for the group and is run within the school term. When children are competent in the basics - Level 1, they receive a certificate and can then move to Level 2.

When: Wednesdays, 4.15pm to 5pm* • 45 MINUTES

Where: 56 Branksome Gardens, City Beach  (post COVID-19)

Price: $270 per child for 9 weeks ($30/class) Within school term. Payable in advance.

Ages: 5 to 12 years

Max class size: 8 participants
